Refurbished website

I have decided to completely refurbish my website https://craftcove.weebly.com/

It is still being done as we speak

I will no longer sell directly from there. It will become a gallery of items I have made. Both sold and not sold

I'm too eager to make new things, but not so much the admin side, so this will simplify things a bit.

To buy anything, go straight to https://madeit.com.au/collections/craft-cove you can buy many of my items from there, or you can just contact me through the contact page, or by emailing craftcove@gmail.com.

You can also request an item to be uploaded to madeit, and bought from there, if you feel more comfortable that way

I'm happy to make to order if it's no longer available, although many things are one-offs, I can often make something similar

I will still take international orders, but you will need to contact me for postage costs

So to reiterate: go over to https://craftcove.weebly.com/ for a showcase of what I can do

And go to https://madeit.com.au/collections/craft-cove for some items ready to be sold. Or email me

Crazy Quilting finished

And now to add all the other bits and pieces

I took a while to figure out the best options for my initials and date. But I finally figured it out

I decided it needed to be bead embroidery for the initials. But the date was too small for that. Stem stitch was not going well for it either. In the end I chose back stitch

I am so pleased with this

Crazy Quilting

I was thinking I really need to do some more ribbon embroidery. It was so long ago that I'd done some

I decided to look around on the internet for inspiration, and stumbled across some online courses for crazy quilting

I'd never heard of this before. It involves sewing pieces of fabrics together, thread embroidery on the seams, then ribbon embroidery added, and so much more

I was ready to play

Each time we finish a task, we will be given another

Task 1, 2, and 3 was a bit of reading and learning, and choosing supplies. Then at task 4 we got to cut and sew the pieces of fabric together.

It took me a bit to figure out what was required. But then it clicked

It wasn't too even at first, so I un-picked the edges and straightened it out a bit

The next task was to show off some of the beads i had in my stash

Then I could start a bit of embroidery on some of the seams on my straightened out crazy quilt piece

Probably my favorite part was the french knot flowers (I think they're hyacinths)

Here's the link to the classes if anyone wants to do the other ones:  https://shawkl-classes.blogspot.com/
